The Luxembourg Comedy Showcase will return this month with a special Christmas edition to be held on Wednesday 13 December 2017 at Marionnette (15 rue Strasbourg) from 20:00.
The special show will feature Irish comedian Eleanor Tiernan, who is the cousin of Tommy Tiernan and a favourite with audiences as an original, honest comedienne. She is a regular at Best of Irish at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. On RTE Eleanor has appeared on The Panel, Republic of Telly, Tonight with Craig Doyle as well as being the opening act on on the flagship show Stand and Deliver. Recently she was a featured comedian on Stewart Lee’s Alternative Comedy Experience on Comedy Central.
The Xmas Special will also star US comedian Mike Capozzola, who has been described as a unique hybrid, a cartoonist and a stand-up comedian. A professional in both for over 20 years, Mike recently had a comedy special in Seattle with his ongoing show 'Pop Culture Extravaganza, Evil Cyborg Sea Monsters." His work has appeared in TED Talks, WIRED, The Best of McSweeney’s and Mad Magazine.
Finally, Estonian-American comedian Andy Valvur will also join the line-up. With credits to his name like Comedy Store LA, NY Times contributor and The Improv, Andy is a political comic with over 20 years of experience and material about Europe and the rest of the world.
The comedians will be joined by MC Joe Eagan (Canada) with his powerpoint comedy Xmas special show and local rising talents Corina Dumitrescu (Romania) and Sascha Kettern (Germany).
The entire show will be in English and tickets cost €17 on the door for one or €30 for two.
