The Kanner Jugend Telefon (KJT) children's telephone support initiative has announced that it is to organise a conference in English about Cyberbullying on Thursday 26 January 2017 from 19:00 until 21:00 at their premises (20 rue de Contern, L-5955 Itzig).

The event will also see the launch of the new little mascot of Kanner-Jugendtelefon Online Help, called Bod.

Cyberbullying is an aggressive, intentional act carried out repeatedly over time by a group or an individual using electronic forms of contact against a victim. Children and youngsters have to deal more and more with cyberbullying.

Prof. Dr. Steffgen from the University of Luxembourg will present information about Cyberbullying: What is it, how does it work, what are the consequences, why do people cyberbully, how to take action, how to prevent it and what parents need to know.

The artist Simon Taylor-Kielty will present the new mascot; Bod will appear on their post-card series and each month Bod will take us through the topics of the children who contact the online help service. The postcards will be distributed to children and youth in Luxembourg.

Admission is free. Please register by 20 January 2017 at email: contact@kjt.lu
