Following the collapse of the roof of the Citabel sports store in Leudelange on 2 June 2017, the store reopened this past Saturday 14 October 2017.

During the incident in June, a section of the roof fell where the cashiers sit, while the store was open for business. However, there were no reports of injuries. It fell following heavy rain, hail and strong winds which accumulated to increase the force on the roof.

The store has been completely renovated in the meantime, both inside and outside, despite having suffered huge building damage. After 4 months of intensive work, the staff at Citabel are ready to welcome customers in a new sport, fashion and leisure space.

The entire Citabel team and the group contributed to the transformation of the store and Citabel has thanked the fast and efficient collaboration between its owner and its insurer Le Foyer, as well as the engineers, architects and designers.
