The Confucius Institute has announced the choice of film for March for its Chinese Cinema Cycle, organised monthly in partnership with the Cercle Cité.

The series is an occasion for the general public to discover Chinese films and documentaries with English and/or French subtitles. For the selection of films, the Confucius Institute worked together with the Allers-Retours Association.

This month, there will be a screening of the film B for Busy, by Shao Yihui, with English subtitles. The screening will take place on Tuesday 19 March 2024, with doors opening from 17:30 (session starts at 18:00), at Cercle Cité in Luxembourg-Ville (2 Rue Genistre; auditorium Henri Beck on the fifth floor).

The film follows the life of multiple individuals living in Shanghai. When a divorced, retired painting teacher from Shanghai falls in love with a woman who is also divorced, the involvement of his ex-wife and a student of his makes the whole situation complicated.

This film screening will be free and open to all, with registration required via email confucius@uni.lu or via tel.: 466-6444964.
