The Luxembourg brand based in Kleinbettingen, Le Moulin 1704, which produces flour and pasta, has announced it is expanding its range of products by launching the first Luxembourgish fine sugar.

This initiative stems from the partnership between Le Moulin 1704 and Marc Nicolay, a Luxembourg-based farmer and producer. Marc Nicolay grows sugar beets on more than 50 hectares spread across the Grand Duchy. The resulting sugar beets are processed in Belgium. The sugar resulting from this transformation then returns to Luxembourg to be packaged at the Kleinbettingen mills.

Available directly from Marc Nicolay and from all the major retailers across Luxembourg, Le Moulin 1704 fine sugar is a product from short distribution channels. The Le Moulin 1704 brand also emphasised its new product’s sustainability.
