The Meteorological Service of the Technical Services Administration for Agriculture (ASTA) in Luxembourg has significantly improved the presentation of current measurement data for the 30 weather stations of ASTA.
The prevailing average hourly values are now available after a quarter of an hour on www.agrimeteo.lu. Especially for each station, the raw values averaged over 10 minutes are available almost in real time.
This could, for example, allow agribusiness producers to take timely measures to protect certain crops (arboriculture and viticulture) against frost. Also, in the case of thunderstorms, this feature makes it possible to have faster information of the measured quantities of rain.
