On Friday, the cabinet of the Luxembourg government approved all school holidays for next three academic years, i.e. the 2018/2019, 2019/2020 and 2020/2021 school years.
The 2018/2019 school year begins in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg on Monday 17 September 2018 and ends on Friday 12 July 2019. The calendar of vacations and school holidays for the 2018/2019 school year are fixed as follows:
- All Saints holiday: Saturday 27 October 2018 - Sunday 4 November 2018.
- Christmas holiday: Saturday 22 December 2018 - Sunday 6 January 2019.
- Carnival holiday: Saturday 16 February 2019 - Sunday 24 February 2019.
- Easter holiday: Saturday 6 April 2019 - Monday 22 April 2019.
- Statutory holiday: Wednesday 1 May 2019.
- Pentecost holiday: Saturday 25 May 2019 - Sunday 2 June 2019.
- Whit Monday: Monday 10 June 2019.
- Summer holiday: Saturday 13 July 2019 - Sunday 15 September 2019.
These holidays apply to Luxembourg public schools.
