A few places are still available the next school year at a brand new creche that was inaugurated in Luxembourg-Kirchberg yesterday.

The creche is in a building belonging to the SNHBM of which the City acquired the ground floor, including two private gardens.

The interior space occupies around 730 square metres divided between three rooms for children of 0 to 2 years, and two for children 2 to 4 years of age. Each room has an adjoining rest room and sanitary room.

Outside, two gardens amounting to almost 1,000 square metres are surrounded by a fence and hedges. The flooring consists of lawn, sand and a shockproof synthetic covering. The layout includes swings, slides, game tables, a sledge hill, benches and seating. Trees and various plantations provide shade in summer.

The nursery can accommodate a total of 66 children, 36 of which are between the ages of 0 and 2 and 30 between the ages of 2 and 4.

A team of thirteen will be on hand to supervise them.

For September 2017, seven places are still available for children aged between 2 and 4. Pre-registration forms are available from municipal crèches.

The project cost €3,865,055.
