Luxembourg Minister of Social Security Romain Schneider visited the Ketterthill laboratories yesterday for a tour of the laboratory’s latest installations. 

After a brief presentation of laboratory history by the managing director, Stéphane Gidenne, the minister was shown around the laboratory. Accompanied by the management committee, Romain Schneider was able to follow the different stages of analysis of the samples processed daily by the laboratory by browsing through the various departments of the laboratory.

During the visit, Caroline Scheiber and Pierre Blonski, biologists at Ketterthill Laboratories, explained that technological installations would still require the validation of the human expertise of technicians and biologists to ensure the accuracy of Results received by patients and physicians. 

At the end of the visit, Romain Schneider declared that he was "very fascinated by the flow of technology and know-how available to patients". It also welcomed the investments made and the creation of synergies with the key players to further develop an expertise in Luxembourg that is unique in this field.
