Doctena & ALK;

At the start of the month, Patrick Obertin and Patrick Kersten convened to sign the contract uniting their two organisations, the ALK (Luxembourgish Association of Physiotherapists) and Doctena.
They are now working together to digitise the physiotherapy profession in Luxembourg, and in particular to promote online appointment bookings.

The ALK was founded in 1990 to defend the interests of physiotherapists and to ensure high working standards. One of its main missions is to keep its 700 members updated on everything to do with the profession (rates, administrative changes, etc.).

We cannot deny the dominate position that Doctena currently holds in Luxembourg's healthcare sector. It is our duty to both our members and their patients to direct them towards a booking system that is fully in line with new practices within the sector. In particular, Doctena will help young physiotherapists to build a patient base thanks to the visibility provided by the online booking platform,” explained Patrick Obertin, ALK chairman.

Doctena is the European leader in online medical bookings. The platform is available in six countries and contains a directory of more than 10,000 healthcare professionals. Each month, one million appointments are made across its networks. Patrick Kersten, CEO of Doctena, expressed his delight with the ALK partnership.

We of course hope that this collaboration will result in a strong increase in the number of physiotherapists listed on Doctena. Let us not forget that our top priority is to facilitate access to healthcare. Doctena not only helps patients to find a specialist, but also lets them book an appointment in just a few clicks, 24/7.”

He added “currently, one doctor in four in Luxembourg publishes their availability on the Doctena platform. We are now looking to extend this figure to all healthcare specialties and professions”.
