The Luxembourg Independent Broadcasting Authority (ALIA) has relaunched its public call for applicants for a radio transmission network after receiving no responses.

The call was launched in March 2016, with the ALIA reporting that although no case was filed during the last two months, there have been several expressions of interest for network #2 since the deadline expired.

Therefore, the Board of ALIA has taken the decision to reopen the tendering procedure and is inviting, for a second time all, interested companies to present their case regarding the future use of different frequencies on network #2. As was also the case in March, ALIA will not be enforcing special conditions regarding programme content and language, but instead will be looking to support media pluralism in the Grand Duchy.

The last date for the submission of applications is now Friday 8 July 2016. Full details of the call for applications can be found at www.alia.lu.
