The Luxembourg Independent Broadcasting Authority (ALIA) launched a public call for applications for a new network radio on Tuesday following the end of the DNR's broadcasts in March 2014.
ALIA has been consulting with releveant authorities to reconfigure network N°2 since broadcasts of DNR, operated by the Saint Paul Group, were terminated, as a means of improving its coverage area to become technically and economically viable.
Interested companies are now being invited to submit their applications to this broadcast network, with ALIA stating that it held no special conditions regarding programme content or conducted language, but that it aimed to expand media pluralism in Luxembourg.
