From 14 October until 9 November 2017, Goodyear’s Wrangler DuraTrac tyres will be tested to the limit during the Land Rover Experience Tour in Peru, South America.

During the four-week expedition, a team of 6 international participants will drive new Land Rover Discovery SUV’s fitted with Wrangler DuraTrac tyres through a wide variety of road conditions.

The Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac has been developed to cope with the toughest terrains, including sand dunes, sharp edged gravel, river beds and high angle mountain roads, all of which the participants will encounter during their adventures. For the off-road parts, drivers will be able to benefit from Goodyear’s TractiveGroove Technology, enhancing traction on mud and snow. Furthermore, the self-cleaning shoulder blocks will rapidly evacuate gravel, dirt and mud. When driving on-road, highly angled center tread blocks will improve the vehicle’s traction and lateral stability, while reducing road noise.

Goodyear can rely on an outstanding track record of designing and manufacturing award-winning 4x4 tyres. Our relationship goes back to the 70s, when Goodyear was fitted to the first Range Rover, and it continues with the development of next-generation tyres today. Needless to say, we are excited to have Goodyear on board as our exclusive tyre partner for the 2017 Land Rover Experience Tour,” commented Christian Uhrig, Head of Marketing Communications from Jaguar Land Rover Germany.

We are extremely happy to provide our Wrangler DuraTrac tyres for the Land Rover Experience Tour in Peru. It underlines once again the long-lasting partnership Goodyear has with Land Rover and our know-how when it comes to designing and manufacturing award winning 4x4 tyres,” said Mike Rytokoski, Chief Marketing Officer Europe at Goodyear. “Supplying equipment to Land Rover has been a long-lasting success, demonstrated by our latest OE homologations on the Land Rover Discovery and the Range Rover Velar.”

The Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac recently won the reader’s choice award from German magazine ‘Off Road’ for the fifth consecutive time.
