SOS Hunger has begun to put into place its Strategy 2022 announced in 2016, aimed at positioning it as an agent of change.

In order to be an actor of change, SOS Hunger has pledged to take concrete and effective action to support civil society organisations in Africa.

The charitable initiative has focused its attention on the daily struggle for systemic change in the face of growing, unbearable economic, social and environmental inequalities on the African continent.

Such action includes a new partnership for the initiative Alternative Espaces Citoyens in Niger, various peasant movements or rural finance institutions (mostly mutualist) in all countries in which SOS Hunger is operational.

On the other hand, acting for change also implies actions at home. Indeed, one aim of the campaign is to invites citizens to change their eating habits by turning to organic and local produce. This is also why SOS Hunger decided to become a member of citizen cooperatives such as Terra, Ouni and the Maison de la Transition in Esch-sur-Alzette.

Finally, because the primary causes of hunger and poverty are above all political, SOS Hunger continued its advocacy work in 2016 for greater coherence for sustainable development, whether through the NGO Circle Or within the Meng Landwirtschaft platform.
