Luxembourg novelist, playwright, journalist and poet Jean Portante, winner of Prix Servais in 2016;

For the first time since the creation of the Prix Servais in 1992, the jury has published a list of shortlisted books.

This initiative aims to highlight the quality and diversity of literary production in Luxembourg and to promote authors and their works to the public and the media. In the running for the Prix Servais 2018 are, in alphabetical order (before translation):

- Pol Greisch, Tëscht Kaz at Kueder. Geschichten, Editions Guy Binsfeld.
- Georges Hausemer, Fuchs im Aufzug. Erzählungen, Capybarabooks.
- Nico Helminger, Kuerz Chronik vum Menn Malkowitsch Sengen Deeg an der Lodge. Erzielungen, Editions Guy Binsfeld.
- Roland Meyer, Tel.M. E Kannerbuch fir erwuesse Leit, Op der Lay.
- Tom Nisse, A verification of the origin, Hydre Editions.

The winner of the Prix Servais 2018 will be announced at the end of April.

Since 1992, the Servais Prize has rewarded the most significant literary work published in the previous year. It is awarded annually, on the proposal of an independent jury. The Servais Prize comes with a €6,000 monetary prize.

The jury of the Prix Servais 2018 is chaired by Jeanne E. Glesener and composed by Simone Beck, Odile Linden, Claude Mangen, Pierre Marson, Jeanne Offermann, Alex Reuter, Aimee Schultz and Sebastian Thiltges.

The Fondation Servais also awards an incentive prize for authors who have not yet published their literary work, on the basis of manuscripts. ​
