Jean-Paul Olinger;

The Union des Entreprises Luxembourgeoises (UEL) has welcomed its new Secretary General, Jean-Paul Olinger, following the departure of Nicolas Henckes.

Jean-Paul Olinger has been called to lead the UEL secretariat, to assist the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee, to collaborate with the Chambers and Federations on strategic issues and to develop employers' positions with the aim of defend the best interests of Luxembourg companies.

With the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Michel Wurth, and the Managing Director, Jean-Jacques Rommes, who chairs the Executive Committee, the management team is recomposed around the topics addressed and co-ordinated at the level of the UEL, in particular the country's economic and social situation, public finances and taxation, social security, labour law, administrative simplification and corporate social responsibility.

The UEL represents around 35,000 companies of all sizes and in all sectors (industry, services, trade, crafts and catering) which accounts for around 80% of employment and produces 85% of Luxembourg's GDP.

Jean-Paul Olinger is a former KPMG partner, active in the tax field, and former president of the Federation of Young Business Executives. He has always been close to the companies and is delighted with this new challenge that will allow him to become even more involved with companies.
