Marc Molitor, chairman of the Luxembourg Business Angel Network (LBAN), has stated that the creation of an LBAN Space Angel Group is a natural response from LBAN in order to support the government´s Space Resource Initiative and the heightened focus on developing a viable space industry within the borders of the Grand Duchy and beyond.

LBAN´s Space Angel group will be organised as a subgroup of LBAN. Its main objectives will to be to bring together interested individual investors into the space industry and stimulate and support Luxembourg´s position as a space nation. To join the group, being a LBAN member will not be a pre-requisite.

With this initiative, Marc Molitor states that LBAN clearly emphasises its role as an active and important force to support the development of Luxembourg-based businesses. The space industry has a potential for global reach.

The Luxembourg Space Angels will convene their first meeting in September. The group will be co-chaired by two LBAN members, Fabrice Testa and Tor Fyksen, whom both are active space angels. The group will use the “Meet-Up” platform as its main communication and meeting format. Those interested in joining the Luxembourg Space Angels can contact one of the co-chairs (email: spaceangels@lban.lu) or follow future announcements via “Meet-Up- Luxembourg Space Angels”.

LBAN, the Luxembourg Business Angel Network, is a non-profit association unlocking the potential of private investors in Luxembourg. LBAN’s mission is to give the appropriate tools to private investors in order to be more comfortable in doing investments. To date, LBAN counts nearly 60 Luxembourg-based members.
