On Saturday evening, Luxembourg Tornado took full control of the ice hockey game in Kockelscheuer against Grizzly Garges in the French championship.

From the start, it was clear that Tornado would be the team having most of the possession. Despite many chances in the first period, Tornado did not manage to score. Finally, in the first shift of the second period, David “Shorty” Muller opened the ketchup bottle and scored from the back post. Half way through the period, Teemu Hinkula decisively scored his season opener with a wrist shot to the top corner after coast-to-coast skating.

After the second goal, the Colm Cannon-show started - he scored 3 of Tornado's last 4 goals: one in the second period and two in the third period. Tornado’s 4th goal was scored by Lukas Föhr. Overall, Tornado’s first line was in a good shape as Cannon scored a total of 3+1 points, Eriksson 0+3 and Muller 1+1.

After this win, Tornado is holding onto second position in the group with 12 points from 4 games.

More and more people are starting to find an interest in ice hockey, and in Tornado in particular, as there was again a good crowd of spectators in the stands.

Next week-end, Tornado will play a charity game in Kockelscheuer against "Spangdahlem ad Varsity" as a part of Veterans Day celebrations. The next Division 3 game will be on 25 November in Kockelscheuer when Amiens will visit.
