Luxembourg has risen to 93rd in the latest FIFA rankings, into the top 100 for the first time, out of a total of 206 football-playing affiliated countries.
The move up the rankings shows a rise of 8 places, thanks to the Red Lions' recent home draw with Bulgaria; the previous month, Luxembourg earned a home win against Belarus and away draw to France, all in the recent FIF World cup qualifying Group A. This rise was also despite an 8-0 away hammering to Sweden.
