On the afternoon of 23 February 2018, the Lycée technique de Bonnevoie in Luxembourg will welcome Josiane Willems, member of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), to prepare the "Your Europe, Your Say!" youth meeting to be held in Brussels on 15 and 16 March 2018.

Students from thirty-three schools across Europe, 28 Member States and five candidate countries will travel to Brussels next month to explain to the European institutions what role they believe Europe will play in the future. These young people will reflect on proposals to debate before voting for three of them, which will feed into the policy-making process of the European institutions.

Josiane Willems will work with students in Luxembourg ahead of the March meeting to prepare answers to some key questions about the future of European culture, such as the definition of European culture, the role of culture and cultural exchange in students’ lives, what the EU can fo to promote culture, the potential role of culture in economic regeneration in Europe, and how this regeneration could provide young people with new job opportunities.

The EESC flagship event "Your Europe, Your Say!" (YEYS) is an initiative aimed considering the views, experiences and ideas of the younger generations in the development of European policies.

More information about the 2018 edition of YEYS is available on the official event page: https://www.eesc.europa.eu/en/agenda/our-events/events/your-europe-your-say-2018
