On Friday, a delegation from Esch-sur-Alzette, a candidate city for the title of European Capital of Culture 2022, submitted its final application to Luxembourg's Secretary of State for Culture.

Secretary of State Arendt thanked the entire team of Esch 2022 for the work and the efforts made to close the file.

According to the rules of procedure, the dossier will be transferred by the Ministry to the European Commission and to the members of the European jury. The latter will meet on 10 November in Luxembourg to decide definitively on the candidature of Esch-sur-Alzette in the final selection session.
