From 7 September to 7 October 2017, Luxembourg’s CULTUREINSIDE.gallery will host an exhibition on the works of French painter Pierre-Luc Poujol.
The international art gallery in Luxembourg City CULTUREINSIDE.gallery is organising another exhibition on Pierre-Luc Poujol entitled “Pierre-Luc Poujol- L’art et la matière”, having hosted its first exhibition on the French painter in 2013.
Following the example of Pollock, Pierre-Luc Poujol, who has been based in Miami, USA for the past few years, paints using projection and dripping without actually making contact with the art work. Dripping is a technique which requires a lot of skill, sensitivity and spontaneity.
Poujol projects colour onto the canvas before allowing the colours to run while turning the canvas again and again. The French painter creates a mixture with these colours whilst they are still fresh, resulting in surprising combinations. He often emphasises the symbolic nature of his works.
The vernissage of this upcoming exhibition will be held on 7 September 2017 at 18:30.
