The British Chamber of Commerce for Luxembourg (BCC) will host an After-Work Legal Forum: “Inheritance sans frontieres- A practical guide to the EU succession regulation” on Tuesday 14 November 2017 at Arendt House at 18:15.

At the event, organised in collaboration with STEP, the speakers Jean-Paul Meyers, notary, Marianne Rau, Partner at Arendt & Medernach and Marc Berna, Associate at Arendt & Medernach will provide answers to questions regarding EU inheritance laws.

Topics to be discussed include an explanation for the impact of the Luxembourg fixed inheritance regime and the effect of a matrimonial contract, a discussion of the ideas behind the EU succession regulation and an explanation of the practicalities involved in making a will in Luxembourg, including using a foreign law under the EU succession regulation.

The evening will begin at 18:15 with registration and the presentations are scheduled to begin at 18:30 sharp. Following on from the presentations, there will be time for a Q&A session.To close the evening drinks and snacks will be provided and there will be the opportunity to meet and discuss with fellow Chamber Members.

The event is free of charge for BCC & STEP Members and €25 for Non-Members.
