Following its call for applications and the training of a team of ten young individuals, the André Losch Fondation has announced the launch of the “Up to Youth” call for projects.

This call for projects is open to applications from Luxembourg-based organisations focused on youth, particularly in the areas of social inclusion and mental health.

André Losch Fondation noted it has given itself the mission to include young people and give them the means to participate in building the world of tomorrow by supporting causes that are important to them. This initiative aims to allow young people of all origins, from all backgrounds and from all horizons to get involved in philanthropy.

Following the call for applications at the start of the year, ten committed and motivated young people, between eighteen and 30 years old, were selected and grouped into a youth committee, with a budget of €200,000 to allocate to organisations developing projects for youth in Luxembourg.

Acting as a board of directors, the young people took part in two workshops, led by WISE Philanthropy Advisors, allowing them to define their framework of action: themes to support, target audience, financial envelopes, duration of projects and criteria for selection.

The youth group is now looking for projects to support in social inclusion and mental health. Social inclusion groups should promote the social inclusion of children and young people in a multicultural context in order to bring out everyone’s potential and “give them wings”. Concerning mental health, applicants should aim to contribute to the mental health of children and young people through prevention, awareness-raising and formal or non-formal support activities.

To be eligible, the projects presented must fall within the following framework:

  • target audience: young people aged 0 to 30 in Luxembourg;
  • financial envelope: between €50,000 and €100,000;
  • project duration: twelve to eighteen months with a start in 2024.

The call for projects is open until 2 June 2024, to any non-profit organisation.

Once the call for projects is completed, the Up to Youth youth team will be responsible for selecting the projects that will be funded.
