The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) and ING have confirmed that more than 1,500 runners have registered for the first edition of the Luxembourg Pride Run, which is taking place on Wednesday 5 July 2023 (departing from the Cité Judiciaire in Luxembourg-Ville at 19:00).

This charity running race will see participants run either 5 km or 10 km in support of the LGBTIQ+ community.

With over 1,500 registrants, the race is now full. Among those participating are more than 40 businesses and organisations.

The organisers recalled that the funds raised through the registration fees for the Luxembourg Pride Run will be donated in full to a project that promotes the integration of LGBTIQ+ people in sports: sports clubs, coaches and trainers will have access to workshops, training and instructional materials.

This initiative is being carried out jointly by the City of Luxembourg and ING, in collaboration with Rosa Lëtzebuerg asbl, Centre LGBTIQ+ CIGALE and IMS. The non-profit organisation Urban Trail de Luxembourg asbl is responsible for the technical aspects of the race.
