The “Smart ICT for Business Innovation” certificate will return to the University of Luxembourg in February 2018.

Following the success of the academic year 2015-2016, a new edition of the "Smart ICT for Business Innovation" certificate will begin early next year at the University of Luxembourg. The certificate, organised jointly by the university and the Institut Luxembourgeois de la Normalisation, de l'Accréditation, de la Sécurité et qualité des produits et services (ILNAS), offers vocational training and a recognised qualification for professionals in the ICT sector in Smart ICT technologies.

The programme, updated on the basis of the latest advances in Smart ICTs, such as Cloud Computing, Internet Data, Big Data and Digital Trust, will enable students to develop their expertise in these areas. The training will also offer a privileged access to the knowledge offered by technical standardisation and is based on its latest advances to provide advanced knowledge in this field while exploring the possibilities offered by Smart ICT technologies to innovate and develop new economic activities. Beyond the technical aspects, the university certificate also includes a module dedicated to innovation and economic development to facilitate the implementation of innovative projects by students.

This training is especially aimed at ICT professionals who wish to develop their skills in Smart ICT technologies and understand the challenges of technical standardisation. The training will take place in the evening during two semesters and includes 120 hours of courses and seminars as well as a 48-hour internship aimed at developing a final economic innovation project. Students who have successfully completed the courses will be awarded a university certificate equivalent to 18 ECTS credits.
