On 3 October 2017, choreographer Simone Mousset received the Lëtzebuerger Danzpräis in the framework of TROIS CL’s monthly 3 du TROIS evening.

At this month’s 3 du TROIS event, organised by the Centre de création chorégraphique luxembourgeois TROIS C-L, the Secretary of State for Culture, Guy Arendt, presented the Lëtzebuerger Danzpräis to the dancer and choreographer Simone Mousset.

The jury, chaired by Marie-Laure Neiseler, chose Simone Mousset as the winner because of the "merit of a courageous young choreographer, whose singular artistic approach develops a sincere and original message".

The Lëtzebuerger Danzpräis is awarded biennially to a young dancer or choreographer who has distinguished himself or herself in his or her field and who can already claim international attention for at least one performance. The winner is rewarded with €5,000 and aims at encouraging the contemporary choreographic creation or the artistic merit of a young dancer in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
