On Thursday morning a pedestrian was killed after being by a truck on the Avenue Amélie in Luxembourg city centre.
The accident happened shortly after 09:00. According to the Grand Ducal Police, the truck driver had stopped at a red traffic light; when the lights changed to green, the truck started to move forward and a woman was it by the truck.
The victim was a 46 year-old Luxembourgish woman; she died at the scene of the accident.
The Grand Ducal Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
The road was closed to traffic until the road could be freed up.
