On Monday this week, Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel received a medal from the Raoul Wallenberg Foundation in New York.
On 18 September 2017, the Raoul Wallenberg Foundation awarded a medal to the Luxembourg Prime Minister and Minister of State Xavier Bettel for "his commitment and ardent support in the fight against all forms of racism and discrimination and his affirmed position for human rights".
In his speech, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the hero Raoul Wallenberg before highlighting the fate of the Jewish community in Luxembourg during the Second World War.
