Luxembourg's Department of State has confirmed that Luxembourg's Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, and Deputy Prime Minister, Étienne Schneider, will visit Russia on a working trip next week, from 16 - 18 October 2017.
The trip will include visits to both Moscow (17 & 17 October) and Tambov (18 October). In Moscow, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister will attend the Open Innovation Forum and will have several meetings with political and economic decision-makers. They will meet in particular the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Dimitri Medvedev.
PM Bettel and Deputy PM Schneider will then travel to Tambov, where a visit to the Soviet camp of Tambov will take place, accompanied by a delegation composed of former conscripts of Luxembourg forces imprisoned there. A working lunch with the governor of Tambov, Alexander Nikitin, is also planned.
