Luxembourg Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy Étienne Schneider is currently undertaking a state visit to Tokyo, Japan, from 2-5 March 2018.

Aiming to strengthen international relations and collaborations in the space sector, the visit of Étienne Schneider this month in Tokyo is part of the continuation of the state visit to Japan with HRH the Grand Duke which took place in November 2017.

At the invitation of the Japan Space Agency (JAXA), Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Economy Étienne Schneider will participate in the second edition of the International Space Exploration Forum (ISEF). Organised in Tokyo, the conference brings together international organisations like the European Space Agency (ESA) as well as representatives of 60 countries in the process of collaboration for space exploration, including major powers such as the United States, China and Russia.

In addition, Étienne Schneider will have interviews with members of the Japanese government to discuss bilateral collaboration in the exploration and use of resources in space.
