For 28 years, the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner has been accompanying children fighting against cancer and their families; September is the international awareness month for childhood cancer.

Since 2015, the Foundation has taken part in this worldwide movement with its LËTZ GO GOLD solidarity campaign and this year, it will carry on the project with a lot of devotion and ambition.

For the 2017 edition, the fondation will organise two main events: a flashmob, on 16 September and a closing concert on 30 September, both at the heart of Luxembourg-City (Place Guillaume II and Place d’Armes, respectively). The goal: raising awareness among the greatest possible audience about the facts that childhood cancer exist and that families concerned need support.

These activities will be supported by a number of initiatives, including: Illumination of buildings (on 16 & 30 September); the International Gold Ribbons action (Gold Ribbons can be worn as pins, ephemeral tattoos or bracelets); a Golden Challenge (sharing supportive pictures on social networks with the #LëtzGoGold hashtag); and the Kiosk in Gold (showing support for affected families by tying customisable Golden Bonds on the Place d’Armes Kiosk (bandstand) in Luxembourg City)
