The jury of the 2017 edition of the Luxembourg Design Awards has selected 48 winners for the competition, the award ceremony of which will take place on 1 June 2017 at Neimenster Abbey.

In the framework of the Luxembourg Design Awards 2017, a jury made up of seven people- Maxim Dedushkov, Severin Filek, Christof Ronge, Jean-Paul Carvalho, Marianne Grisse, Christian Aschman and Ingrid Vandenhoudt- has chosen 66 out of a total of 244 projects submitted to proceed in the competiton.

Out of the 66 chosen projects, which fall into 13 categories, there is a total of 48 winners, including 9 gold prizes, 15 silver and 20 mention. This is an increase from the prizes in 2015, which featured 30 winners from 65 nominations (out of a total of 194 submissions).

The categories were as follows: Corporate Design (11 nominations); Print Design (6); Editorial design/Books (4); Information design (5); Photo design (3); Illustration (5); Digital design (6); Motion design (4 nominations); Product design (6); Packaging design (4); Space design (4); Design management (2); Junior talents (6).

The award ceremony, with “Why Beauty Matters” by Stefan Sagmeister, will take place on 1 June 2017 at the Abbey.
