At a press conference held at Mondorf Domaine Thermal yesterday afternoon, the wellness centre's President, Paul Hammelmann and Director, Pierre Plumer, presented the results of the €12 million investments made to the centre over the last five years.
The most significant investments took place in 2014, with accommodation receiving the highest figures at €4,257,300, followed by wellness and fitness at €4,190,840 and support at €1,421,710. Mondorf Domaine Thermal employs nearly 300 people, of which 45% are women and 55% are men, with the vast majority comprising employees with a private rather than public status.
The Domaine Thermal reported that the number of procedures and treatments has remained relatively stable, with over 5, 250 treatments taken under the CNS. New procedures, such as ambulatory obesity and post-oncological treatments, are currently being put in place.
The various departments of Mondorf Domaine Thermal offer the following, among others:
HOTELS
- 2 Hotels: 4 Star Parc Hôtel, with 108 rooms (down from 113), of which 38 are suites & 3 Star Villa Welcome, with 21 rooms, of which 1 is a suite.
- Complete renovation of all the Parc Hôtel rooms, with an official opening due for 23 September 2015
- Price of hotel room including breakfast buffet and direct access to the Wellness & Fitness centre for hotel guests

- Development in treatments available, including an ambulatory obesity treatment and a post-oncological treatment as part of the National Cancer Plan

- Kinesitherapy through osteopathy and DBC

SPA
- Offers in the form of ritual, package, or 'à la carte'
- Spa offers with (50%) or without (50%) lodging
- Nearly 50 kinds of care, including massages, baths, luminotherapy and vinotherapy
- Development of care packages for two (massages, Rasul, Kranexofen)
- New care ranges, such as SanVino and BeChocolate
WELLNESS & FITNESS
- New wooden terraces around the thermal swimming pool with more than 1,100 m2 and numerous green spaces.
- 12 saunas from 65°C to 100°C, for 4 to 68 people
- Resting rooms, one with a fireplace and one with heated water beds
- Outdoor dining at the chalet or indoor dining at the Club Lounge
- 1,800 m2 of fitness space, comprised of 5 zones for specific training, indoor cycling, room for group classes, rooms for personal training
- 80 group classes a week, including Bokwa, Pilates, Bodypump and Aquastretching
- New approach to pricing to incorporate subscriptions and packages
- Various sauna options, including TEXTILII; VIPPI (sauna available for private hire on half-day or full-day basis); LUOLAKSI (hammam located in an old cave with thermal water catchment); UIMA ALLAS (stainless steel water basin with jets and a variable temperature from 26° to 36°C)
