The Open category of the LEN European Aquatics Championships are now over with good results for the Luxembourg delegation; this week the competition starts for the Masters.

Luxembourg is represented with a record high 25 participants of which 16 are from Swimming Luxembourg, 8 from Dudelange and 1 from Diekirch - it is going to be the biggest swim event in the history of competitive swimming. A total of 12,000 athletes from all over Europe are arriving in London to fight for the medals, with 26,000 starts in two parallel pools. A mammoth event!

Organised by LEN, the governing body for aquatics in Europe, the European Championships are held every second year and include 4 aquatics disciplines: swimming (long course/50m pool), diving, synchronised swimming and open water swimming.
