Today, Friday 23 Jue 2017, the Luxembourg women's 7s rugby team is off to Kosice, Slovakia, for the Women's European 7s Conference which is being played from 24-25 June.

Following a successful tournament last year, having finished in 5th position out of 12 teams, the lionesses will be looking to perform as well if not better this year. "We want to perform well and have no regrets," said team captain Corrine Brever, "we are all very excited and positive, and look forward to the tournament!".

Despite a shortened preparation time, Captain Brever is optimistic. When asked if the team was ready for the challenge ahead Brever said "we are confident and excited, we know what we're able to do and we want to do the best we can... it's now a matter of concentration, motivation and, most importantly, teamwork".

On Saturday, Luxembourg will play Andorra (11:50), Slovenia (14:35) and hosts Slovakia (16:58) in the preliminary pool games, before heading into the play-offs the next day.
