The 5th edition of the Schools' (sailing) Cup 2017, organised by Sailing Passion asbl, took place last week in "the Pearl of the Adriatic", otherwise known as Biograd na Moru, in Croatia, following the annual Sigg's Cup corporate sailing event.

Biograd na Moru is a paradise sailing area, filled with thousands of wild tiny islands, a paradise for sailors. The students, all aged 14 to 19, were there for a week of sailing, returning to the Grand Duchy today, Saturday 15 April. All the boats were equipped with 4 cabins and 2 heads, with bedsheets and towels provided in the boats.

Each crew comprised either 6 students + 1 co-skipper + 1 skipper OR 7 students and 1 skipper. No prior sailing experience was deemed to be a pre-requisite of the participating students.

The overall winner of the Schools' Cup 2017 was European School Kirchberg, whose crew was deemed the best of the eleven competing yachts over the week's racing involving a total of six legs.
