On Saturday, d'Coque in Luxembourg-Kirchberg hosts an international basketball match between Luxembourg and Britain.

While Britian went on to qualify for the Euopean Championships in 2017, Luxembourg defeated the visitors 82-75 on the day, to the delight of a crowd of around 1,100 fervent spectators.

Tom Schumacher was top scorer for Luxembourg with 20 points.

The British Ambassador to Luxembourg, John Marshall, attended the game as a guest of FLBB (Luxembourg's basketball federation) and spoke to some players and members of the staff after the game.
