On Wednesday, the Luxembourg Athletics Federation (FLA) announced details of the 1st Championships of the Small States of Europe that is taking place on 11 June in Malta.

The athletics team was announced, with with 6 men and 11 women competing for Luxembourg in a number of track and field disciplines.

Men: Vincent Karger (400m); christophe Bestgen (800m); Kevin Rutare (hugh jump); Charel Gaspar (high jump); Bob Bertemes (hammer); Sven Forster (discus)

Women: Laurence Jones (100m, long jump, relay); Patrizia Van Der Weken (100m, 200m, relay); Tamara Krumlovsky (400m, relay); Jenny Gloden (800m); Fiona Kierdorf (800m); Martine Mellina (3,000m); Victoria Rausch (110m hurdles, relay); Lara Marx (110m hurdles, long jump); Elodie Tshilumba (high jump), Cathy Zimmer (high jump)

A total of 18 countries will participate: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus, Georgia, Gibraltar, Iceland, Kosova, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, FYR Macedonia, Moldova, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro and San Marino.
