Young football enthusiasts from the Lycée Technique de Lallange organised the first ever Teqball tournament in the Grand Duchy at the Rives de Clausen last Saturday.

The idea began last October, when Ronaldhino came to Luxembourg to present the Teqball — www.teqball.com — for the first time.

The two-player teams tested their agility and technique during 10-minute games, joined by the Teqball ambassador to Luxembourg, Roby Langers.

The sport has already taken off in other countries such as Hungary and France and the winning team from the new Luxembourg tournament will represent Luxembourg at the first Teqball World Cup in Hungary on 22 June.

Teams in second and third place earned VIP access to the Teqball All Stars event on Saturday 30 September at the Atert Center in Bertrange and will bring together known players such as Simão Sabrosa, Nicolas Anelka and Roby Langers.

Other players will be announced soon.
