The public is advised that there will be substantial changes to public transport within the city this weekend on account of the ING Marathon.

There will be changes to public transport during the ING Marathon this weekend, effective from around 16:45 on the Kirchberg Plateau, and from 19:00 the link between the central train station and the city centre is suspended for all regular lines. A special shuttle bus (line 50) will run between Notre-Dame street, (“Ënneschtgaass / Casino" stop) and the Place de Paris.

At all key locations, AVL staff members will be available to assist citizens, spectators and visitors to guide them and provide them with the necessary information regarding bus changes.

Some neighbourhood streets will be closed to traffic until the last runner is in. The streets outside the perimeter of the event will remain open to traffic.

Parking along the route is permitted (with some exceptions). Vehicles parked along the course may not move during the race.

The Vel’oh! stand at the Schuman Roundabout Schuman will be closed on the day of the Marathon from 09:00.

Until 19:00 (16:45 for the Kirchberg Plateau), all regular lines on the City's bus system will operate on normal schedule.

From 19:00, a shuttle service (line 50) connecting the city centre to the Gare district will be available (journey: Notre-Dame street, stop "Ënneschtgaass / Casino" - Place de Paris)

All lines (1-31) of the bus network in the capital, as well as some RGTR lines are free on Saturdays (details on: www.vdl.lu/busgratuit.html).

Vehicles can park at the P + R Bouillon, which is easily accessible and regularly serviced by a special shuttle, and lines 1, 5 and 12.
