Bee Together has announced that, together with the natur&ëmwelt Remich Section, it is organising an event on Sunday 30 July 2017, from 09:50 to 12:00 in Wintrange (meet at ponds near the village), entitled "Bee in Solidarity with Pollinators" about wild solitary bees.
Those attending will observe and try to determine the species of wild solitary bees that they encounter during the excursion. The guide will explain their lifecycle and what actions one can take to improve their sources of food and habitat.
The event is free-of-charge to attend; however, the organisers would appreciate donations based on the principle of "pay what you wish" - the money collected from the event will be used to create a panel on solitary bees at the Haff Réimech ponds and/or in the Biodiversum visitor centre. In the case of poor weather conditions, the event will have to be rescheduled.
