Afrika Fest Esch! launches on the weekend of 9 and 10 June with a celebration of Africa’s food, dance, music, crafts and more hosted by SOS Faim, in collaboration with Kulturfabrik, ASTM and Frères des Hommes.
On the menu this year, workshops for young and old, dance demonstrations, shows, concerts, African culinary specialties, information and craft selling stands all at the Kulturfabrik.
On the programme for 9 June, at 20:00 a concert by Elida Almeida from Cape Verde. Tickets are €16 (+ expenses) in advance, and €20 at the door.
On Saturday 10 June, between 12:00 and 18:30 there will be a series of workshops, dance demos, concerts, food stalls, sculpture and clay painting, hair styling, information and craft stands.
Later on, the Njamy Sitson Trio from Cameroon kick off their gig at 19:00 and Napalma from Brazil-Mozambique, bring their electro & percussion style at 20:30.
