On Monday 10 July 2017, Luxembourg Air Rescue (LAR) welcomed the visit of the Prime Minister Xavier Bettel.

Accompanied by a delegation from the Ministry of State, the Prime Minister took the opportunity to look behind the LAR "success story".

On the visit, the Luxembourg air rescue organisation gave Prime Minister Xavier Bettel and his delegation insight into the daily work of the LAR during their tour of the facilities at Findel Airport. The programme included a visit to the LAR alarm centre and maintenance hall as well as the training centre, which features a modern simulation training dummy.

They also inspected the aircraft on the ground, taking the opportunity to talk directly with the flight attendants and the (para) medical flight attendants.

The encounter concluded with a brief presentation of the LAR activities in Luxembourg and abroad. Among other things, the presentation highlighted that the LAR counts on the support of its more than 185,000 loyal members from Luxembourg and the Greater Region.
