On 13 February 2017, BGL BNP Paribas presented the NGO Kindernothilfe Luxembourg with two cheques for a total value of 10,000.

Two cheques were presented to the NGO Kindernothilfe Luxembourg at the BGL BNP Paribas head office last week.

As a replacement for end-of-year gifts, the Corporate Banking and Asset and Liability Management (Treasury) departments made the decision to support Kindernothilfe Luxembourg with a shared donation. In the presence of representatives from both departments, two cheques for a total value of €10,000 were presented to the heads of the organisation.

Created in 2009, the NGO Kindernothilfe Luxembourg protects and promotes the development of children living in the poorest parts of the world. The funds collected serve to support the “Care for AIDS orphans and protection against child abuse” project in Malawi. As part of this project, the NGO provides support to 6,000 children and adolescents at risk of social exclusion and stigmatisation.

This initiative is another attempt on the behalf of BGL BNP Paribas to follow up on its commitment to being a responsible bank to actively participate in social and civic life.
