Music: LX and Neimenster have renewed their collaboration on the occasion of the AJC (Association Jazzé Croisé) General Assembly, scheduled for 29 and 30 March 2017.

Following the success of the 2016 edition of the Luxembourg Jazz Meeting & Friends, music: LX has renewed its collaboration with the Neimenster Abbey at the General Assembly of the AJC), an occasion that brings together the most recognised French jazz festivals at the end of this month.

Proof of the growing importance of Luxembourg on the European Jazz scene, this general assembly will be held for the first time in the Grand Duchy and will be accompanied, on 29 March in the evening, by showcases allowing festival directors present as well as the public to discover or rediscover three talented bands: Pit Dahm Trio, Maxime Bender Universal Sky and Pol Belardi's Force.

The Pit Dahm Trio will present a selection of tracks from their debut album Omicron, released in 2016 on the Slovak label Hevhetia. The compositions feature technical and organic Jazz.

With his new Universal Sky project, saxophonist Maxime Bender attempts to break down the barriers of genres and cultures in order to propose a unifying music, alongside Manu Codjia on guitar, Jean-Yves Jung on organ and Jérôme Klein on drums. Their first album is being recorded this year and will appear on the French label Laborie Jazz.

Finally, Pol Belardi's Force immerses its audience in an unprecedented sonic journey to the confines of “creation”, from the genesis of a planet to the appearance of life. The quartet will present its new repertoire based on the theme of the cosmos. Their new album Creation / Evolution will be released on 31 March 2017 on the Dutch label Double Moon / Challenge Records.

These performances will take place on Wednesday 29 March 2017 at Neimenster Abbey, starting from 20:00.
