The Spring Sessions are back at Neimënster with a fresh programme of jazz and blues kicking off on 26 February.
Opening up the series next Sunday, saxophonist Maxime Bender and his new Franco-Luxembourgish quartet Universal Sky take us on a musical elimination of borders by expressing and provoking emotions through music and a repertoire that reflects the journeys far and wide of all the musicians.
A few days later, Universal Sky will join Ozma for a performance showcase of Ozma’s fifth album, unveiled for the first time, and one week after that, on International Women’s Day 8 March, Grund Club’s collective of songwriters present an exclusively female quintet centred around singer and guitarist Irina Holzinger.
Continuing on 12 March, Nadine Axisa presents a unique jazz “aperitif”, before the Sessions come to an end on 26 March with a performance by ten musicians from across Luxembourg, including bassist Pol Belardi, David Fluit and Corbi from De Läb, who promise a blend of hyper-electro-jazz and rap.
