The Conservatoire in Luxembourg city will host a concert entitled "From Madrigals to Mussorgsky" on Friday 24 March 2017 at 19:30 featuring 160 young musicians from London in collaboration with St George's International School Luxembourg.
The musicians take their music on an annual tour, and have done so since 1975; recent trips include to Madrid, Malta, Istanbul, Berlin, Prague, Paris and, this year, Belgium and Luxembourg. This tour provides students with unique experiences that can not be experienced on campus; it also serves as an international business card for people with whom they do not normally have contact.
The concert comprises several different sets; An orchestra, a jazz band, a choir, a brass band and a string orchestra. The programme will also be diverse and varied.
Attendance is free-of-charge and tickets are available on the door on the day.
