Luxembourg has made it through to the final of the Welcome to Europe song contest, taking place on 28 June 2017 in Europa Park Rust.

Luxembourg, represented by Miss Georgia Grey and Khalid Oke, is one of five acts who will compete in the Welcome to Europe song contest finale, for newcomers in the music world. The other acts are Whale Frequencies (France), Nadine Rötscher and Cliff House (Germany), and Ariane Vera (Scotland).

With 125 submissions from 14 countries, this year proved to have record participation. The star of the event is Isaac Roosevelt, who presented his European anthem “Happy Day” for the first time in the 2015 final. This time, he will perform it again together with all participants, as well as present the video, shot in Europa Park.

The finalists of the contest, Luxembourg included, will present their contributions on the grand finale at the end of this month live at the Europa Park in front of some 2,800 spectators at the international music festival "Euro-Musique".

The event is recorded and broadcast for Regio TV, and additionally, their contributions to the new edition of the CD "Best of Welcome to Europe”.

The winning act will also receive a professional studio recording plus support in marketing and promotion. 50% of the votes are from the audience, the other 50% are the votes of the jury.
