This year marks the 7th occasion for the Foundation EME (Ecouter pour Mieux s’Entendre - Listen to hear better) to collaborate with the English Touring Opera (ETO) which comes back with Different, an opera for audiences with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

This project is led by 3 singers and 2 actors of the English Touring Opera (ETO). It is aimed at people with disabilities or autistic disorders in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Tim Yealland wrote the story with a group of autistic children on the music of contemporary composer Llywelyn Ap Myrddin.

The play is written by The Key Club, a group of young adults with high functioning autism or Asperger’s syndrome. ETO is an organisation specialised in musicals for audience with specific needs and already counts many successful theatre plays.

From 28-30 June 2017, the ETO will be at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg and will give 11 performances. Docler Holding is supporting this event and wholeheartedly supports such causes and has decided to donate €4,000 to the Foundation EME.

“This is the second time we have had the chance to support the Foundation EME. Cultivating the arts and making them accessible to everyone is part of the company’s DNA. This play features highly talented artists boldly adapting the source material so it resonates with the specific audience. Seeing happy faces laugh and smile throughout the entire performance is truly priceless. The play stimulates each of the 5 human senses throughout the performance”, said Marton Fulop, COO of Docler Holding Luxembourg.

Foundation EME has received more than 350 registrations – including 75 people in wheelchairs - from 30 different centres to the shows this year. It is aimed at people with disabilities or autistic disorders in Luxembourg, but is open to all. The 50-minute play is colourful, interactive and entertaining!
